This was the main meal of the day, while I was helping Pep with the almond harvesting.  Served at around one in the afternnon by Imma, it was the traditional paella casserole of seafood, chicken, and rice flavored with saffron.  Muy yummy!

In Morocco, the terrain along the northern edge of the Sahara Desert was the most empty and forboding yet on my walk.

Incredibly, there were dwellngs in such a otherworldly setting.  This was home to one of the many, many nomadic bedouin families that would become my sole contact with the human race in much of North Africa.
