As is the case all over the world, the women had it worse than the men: insteading of dashing across hot coals, they pierced their bodies with long, thick needles.

These dragons that adorned a Chinese temple's roof may seem a bit gaudy to the average American (and certainly to any Muslim).  But, as the next 33  scenes illustrate, the Chinese cemeteries in Malaysia are some of the most poetic and beautiful anywhere.
